Why Should You Build A List?

Now I don’t know where you are in your attempt to make money online, but I want to write this article to explain to you what happened when I started to focus on listbuilding.

A couple of years ago I found all these great internet marketing products that promised to make me a fortune, all I had to do was to repeat the formula written in the book. So like a true newbie I send all my traffic to the affiliate link I had been given, and waited for the sales to pour in.

After all if I was convinced enough to pay good money for this information everyone else would be…

Sadly it was hype, and I spend a fortune on things I didn’t need / know how to use. What’s worse was that I build up a rather nice pile of debt rather than extra income.

Now through my vain attempts at promoting things via blatent spam posting of forums I found a few great people who helped me understand marketing, and realise that promoting the ebooks you buy is the reason why the seller gets richer and you as a buyer get poorer.

By creating my own brand and building a list I’m now in a much better postition, and in 2007 I generated a 5 figure profit. This was achieved through listbuilding, and leveraging the traffic that a list gives you. Now listbuilding is not easy, and it does require work if you want to achieve good results - doesn’t everything in life!

Over the next couple of weeks I’m going to be expanding on this topic and putting together a step by step guide to the perfect squeeze page. If you want to take advantage of this you need to have your own hosting account and an aweber account in order to progress.

If you’re really green behind the ears and don’t have your own domain or a hosting account then please visit DiscoverCpanel.com it’s a great resource that will save you hundred of dollars and hours of frustration by picking the correct hosting company for your needs.

Yes I know this means you have to spend about $50 per month on services, but these are the keys to the high street shop front rather than the back street market stall you’re currently running.

Happy List Building

Andrew
