Why Can’t You Build A List?

Like I say in the above video I need your feedback for what to include in my next product.

So what is stopping YOU from building a list?

  1. Don’t understand autoresponders?
  2. Can’t find reports to use?
  3. Scared of html?
  4. Creating killer headlines?
  5. Turning freebie seekers into buyers?
  6. Something else?

Remember that I plan to make a series of camtasia video’s, and if I answer one of your questions I’ll be giving you a direct link to the video that I make, so this is effectively free 1:1 mentoring I’m offering.

All you need to do is leave a comment here and I’ll do my best to help you get started building a profitable list.

Andrew

I guess to put it simply would be getting the freebie seekers turned into buyers especially when the freebie seekers don’t check email for a much more valuable freebie, just take the freebie and run so to speak. this could be an email issue even though I am very careful to leave out key spam words it would almost seem like people are willing to jump through 1 hoop for a freebie but not a 2nd hoop for a much more vaulable freebie and or offer and by this I mean don’t even go to take a peek so obviously if you can show how to turn these people into even freebie takers little lone buyers I would be very impressed to say the least :-)
    Sincerely

Hey Andrew, Glad to hear you’re an MDM! I’m still paying the MDM system, which has great content. But to be blunt I’m kind of frustrated.

I have all these web skills (http://www.mataka.com) (http://www.americashostingnetwork.com) 3 niche sites already flowing and building me subscribers, Dozens of phenomenal Ideas and domains for them.

It just urks me because what I really need is just some strategy guidance and more time.

Watching those videos are good, but implementing is different when you have a full plate in front of you and your one person.

See Keith was offing a 500 dollar business in a box package with amazing benefits but I don’t need a niche website, I don’t need to learn how to build list and I don’t need to learn how to get more traffic… I already have tons of knowledge on most IM subjects and to top that I’m a professional PHP application developer.

I bought the MDM course because I wanted to see the specifics of the Launch Process, I bought the Butterfly Marketing Script to help me create 2 tier programs faster. But I just have too much on my plate..

I have been promoting 2 sites http://www.ebookin3days.com which provides great product creation knowledge and http://www.InternetMarketingLottery.com that have been doing great. The fact is I haven’t outsourced anything because I haven’t had the money nor time to focus with other people, but I’m looking for change. If you would like to discuss or possible JV on a project let me know.

    Good Luck,
    Rick

I want to build my list using squeeze pages offering a free report ( I have several free rebranded reports/ebooks I could use)but what I don’t know and have not been able to find out is:-

    1) I have three domain names(the main one shown above) and two Add ons. What I don’t know is how do I use these domains? Can I add squeeze pages to them and how do they stay seperate from the rest ie.where do I put them and what URL would I use for the squeeze pages?

    2) How do I get my free offers to my leads when they are currently on my PC hard drive?

    Regards

How about how to sell a product. It seems to me that most of the stuff you have promoted over the last couple of years has to do with electronic products combined with a lot of thunder and lightening.

Many if not all of the models you have promoted will work with physical products but it really unclear how a web based retailer can compete with WalMart in an ongoing way or, in fact, how they could market and sell any commodity product that is interesting (interested in the product area has decent gross margins, etc) against the established retailer.

This is still about getting your list, providing a value proposition, merchandising, selling, provisioning, and servicing the sale. But for many, getting the list and building traffic is a daunting proposal in this space. What is the squeeze page offer? What cut out sites may be needed to attract people interested in niches of products where they can then be introduced to the breadth of products in the store for up-sell and cross-sell.

There is a lot of interesting area out there you have not even touched yet. It probably is easier to stay in the info products at the market is a far from saturated and the percentage of people who need help is still high. But the commodity product area could be a more lucrative segment if you can gain the foothold as the master.

It’s not that anything is stopping me - I am building a list but oh so slowly. I tried articles with a resource box and forums using a sig file but that was incredibly slow. Maybe not enough articles/forums
Now, I am doing google adwords but its costing and am not getting anything significant from my email marketing yet.
    Suggestions would be welcome.

For my part, what i think that prevent me from starting building my list is the only fact that i do not start it. Crazy? No! (I never take the time to set-up the system). We all know that it is as simple as that …

What happens is that i always test or sign-in the last great offer. And I do not take the time to set-up it for me.

Another thing is that now, i have so many offers that i don’t know where to start.

And i thing the last is some fear, about the follow-ups. I know fear is necessary. But you know human… always asking himself if he will succeed.

But you know, Andrew, I have recently decided it is the next thing to do. And i will just do it! (the RDV is fixed!) I think it is not bad to learn before applying too…

    Big kiss,

But getting more traffic to the site and getting them to sign up for my oto and lists is the problem.

    Cheers my friend

    Hi Andrew,
Great to listen to you with your new product survey details.I am calling from the dreaded Dial-Up Zone so haven’t heard all the video yet.
Your previous respondents echo what a million other would be Internet achievers are saying all the time:-

Information Overload together with Techie Problems related to list building and beyond.

I think a real List Building Product that is affordable for all those of us who have been seduced by how quick it is to become a Millionaire is absolutely the way to go. Buying expensive products from any of the well known Marketers should be last on your shopping list until you have at least got a basic list up and running.

All that expensive stuff on your hard drive will just sit there gathering dust until you take some action.Getting started is the most difficult thing to do and it does take a basic plan of action laid out on the floor if need be to get a picture of how it all fits together.

As a comment to Norma she should check her main domain which is showing as expired!

I can share my own experiences in building a list with anyone who wants to e mail me.
Thanks Andrew and put me on your advance purchase list please !

Hi Andrew - Learning how to use the individual components is the easy part, though I am still learning. Putting it all together and setting it in motion seems to be an impossibility without someone by your side telling you step by step what to do. A bit like having all the pieces of a jigsaw but no picture to know what the finished product will look like.

    Hi Robin
    What made you say:-
“As a comment to Norma she should check her main domain which is showing as expired!”?

I have checked and it seems OK to me but you have me worried.

    Regards

First Andy I don’t have my own website and all the tech info seems to go over my head. I have recently opened a paypal account and hope to make some money in the near future, but I need guidance and reassurance that I can make a success in on-line marketing.

    Yours sincerely

    Hi,

At first, building a list wasn’t too difficult.

In one month I had a list of 800.

In six months I now have a list of 700 and not one single sale to them despite 2 emails a week.

    They just want freebies.

Not so badly that they’ll sign up for giveaways, though. I’ve had to stop doing them as my gift has been removed from the last 3 I entered as I received no referrals. This despite sending 3 emails about each giveaway to my list and even offering bonuses for signing up.

A list is rather pointless, isn’t it.

The same goes with links in e-Books. 6000+ e-Books with Clickbank links given away over 2 years. Clickbank sales in 2 years = ZERO

What can we do to get ANY result online. It’s costing me $300 a month - every month - to make $10 in monthly sales.
