Don’t be afraid to “Press The Button!”
This is a concept that I picked up from a free report that was going around as part of the promotion from Tellman Knudson and Shawn Casey for listbuilding.com
Basically once you’ve made the decision to build a list, the most important thing to do is to use the broadcast button. You see the whole point of building a list is that you can drive traffic on demand to whatever website you want.
One of the best feelings in the world is to waking up in the morning to find that the affiliate promotion you mailed your list about 24 hours ago has earned you hundreds of dollars worth of commission.
Assuming you’ve got a traffic strategy in place that’s generating you fresh leads you can blast out 2 or 3 times a week and keep on making those extra affiliate sales per broadcast, over and above that generated via your normal follow-up.
Notice that I said a consistant traffic strategy, everytime you send out a broadcast you will have people using the unsubscribe link, but this is a good thing. If someone doesn’t want to hear what you’ve got to say then the chances of selling them something are zero, so it’s best to keep on selling to those like hearing from you.
If you’re like me and regulary purchase IM products you will be on a lot of other marketer’s list. When you see the same being promoted in your inbox it’s a clear indication that a hot selling product launch is in progress. This means that you should grab yourself an affiliate link, and cash in on all the hype.
Also you should be aware that it can take people up to a dozen visits to a salespage before they buy, so taking the time to write a follow-up email can really pay huge dividends.
So in conclusion the point I’ve been trying to make is that regular contact via the broadcast button is the quickest way to give your bank balance a quick boost. Take a look around this blog, do you notice that even though I’ve sent you free content today the blog has several links to affiliate products, which is building on the follow-up / repeat exposure required to clinch the sale.
The last tip is marketing 101, so make sure that you’re blog has related affiliate links to capitalise on the repeat traffic your list generates.
Happy Listbuilding
