As you know I recently read CrushIt where basically you create a blog about something that you’re passionate about.

So to help make this happen I bought Rob Benwell’s latest edition of blogging to the bank 2010

Now I’m going to be totally honest with you, and this is probably the strangest recommendation that you’ll read in the world of internet marketing.

When you visit the site close the window and click cancel so that you can buy the ebook for $27. You will then be presented with an offer for step by step video training with recurring billing of $29.95 per month. I’ve watched the first 2, and it’s really helped me identify a niche, pick keywords, and this niche has some great clickbank products that are massive sellers.

Now this coaching is the only reason to buy Rob’s product, if I’d just bought the ebook I would have been asking for a refund – remember this is clickbank and getting full refunds is super easy!

I found it to be a bit too generic with no real actionable points, the strategy outlined in crushit is probably better, and at $10.99 it’s more than half the price – and importantly it’s much easier to read about a physical blogging book whilst on the bog!

If you find this review useful remember to use the sexy bookmarks at the bottom, or be brave and leave a comment.

Hopefully I’ll be able to share what I learn from looking over Rob’s shoulder rather than trying to second guess it from reading the ebook. I’m really looking forward to the plug-ins he recommends, the traffic generation stratagies, buying and selling “short term blogs”, and how to outsource the article writing.

Happy Blogging

p.s. here’s the download page for the free report that I’m going to be using for my listbuilding, it may give you a little hint about the niche that I’m going to be targeting.

My Twittollower Experiment
Posted by Andrew in Reviews on 01 28th, 2010| icon3No Comments »

So earlier this week I told you about a new service from my friends Matt & Tahir that helps you build up a massive twitter following.

To show you typical results I’m setting up the system on my test account – the image below shows you this account only has 2 followers!

I’ll post again with details of followers, and also more importantly details of the traffic I’ve generated.

Just so you know this current you will see that the Apple ipad is still dominating the trends, and I do think the name is rather unfortunate given what american women call their sanitory towels.

What are you passionate about?

So I won a copy of “Crush It” from my twitter buddie AlanWho and although I’d seen the buzz on twitter when it came out it wasn’t something that made me go order a copy. Long story short this is a cracking little book, that everyone with a passion should read asap and embrace the world of social media.

Now I’m going to make my passion squeezepages, I was able to think of at least a dozen good headlines for blog posts, so I’ll be starting a new blog later this year to really drive traffic to my sites and share the many different ways of setting up profitable squeezepages for loads of different niche markets.

Please let me know what you’re passionate about, and if you leave a link to your opt-in page within the comment I’ll try to do a video critique for you to help you get better conversion, and make more cash.

5 Reason’s Why You Be Surfing ThumbVu
Posted by Andrew in Reviews, Videos on 01 17th, 2010| icon32 Comments »

This married life is really hectic, but the plan for this year is to send you more content and quality offers rather than just hitting you all the time with offers for “shiney new things” where my commission is more important than if the product is any good.

BTW if you want more info on the reasons behind this paradigm shift then perhaps you should read Yaro Starak’s blog post (link opens in a new window)

I have made a video walk through of surfing ThumbVu, but thought I’d also give you the 5 reasons in writing in case I didn’t cover them in the video.

  1. It’s all about the branding, not only do you get your pages seen, but you can really build up your social media profiles at the same time.
  2. Watch out for the thumbnails with the border, these people are paying to get their pages seen, so start following them and do some proper networking.
  3. If you have a smart phone you can be generating traffic to your site without being at your computer. Great if you have to spend time waiting about for the kids!
  4. List building, having your opt-in form on the surfbar is brilliant, but I don’t think this option is available for free members.
  5. Last but probably most importantly – Results! I’ve been looking at my TEtoolbox stats, and not only is ThumbVu delivering the traffic, it’s currently got the highest conversions, so please think long and hard about the upgrade – I took the 2nd option of $17 per month.

Hope this honest review will make you see the value in traffic exchange advertising.

Happy surfing

p.s. I’ve installed sexy bookmarks, and it you like this video please give me a digg, and I’ll follow you back.

This video shows you an example of a great squeezepage that converts traffic into leads. These leads are converted into clickbank sales by the brilliant follow-up system that Soren & Cindy have in place.

Now the dullest and most difficult part of affiliate marketing is trying to figure out where the sales came from, and having to deal with really ugly tracking links – I mean does http://cbpirate.com/s/cbp/shugster/10-09-09BlogPost really look a link you’d be desperate to click in an email?

By creating a new folder on your server & uploading this index.php redirect onto your website you will be able to have proper tracking & get people seeing your brand.

<?php
header( ‘Location: http://cbpirate.com/s/cbp/shugster/trafficsource’ ) ;
?>

If you’ve joined cbpirate it’s just a case of sending traffic and seeing what gives results and repeating.

For those of you who have your own squeezepages then use the same redirect technique, but put in your hitsconnect link with the traffic source tagged onto the end. If you want to have the opt-in conversion added then you’ll need the premium account, so it’s probably more cost effective for newbies to promote & use the tracking provide within CBpirate to find good traffic sources. Then once you a solid residual income you can invest time and money building your own list.

If anything doesn’t make sense then post a comment, and I’ll try to explain spefic points in more detail.

So Ewen Chia has finally gotten round to updating Secret Affiliate Weapon.

Judging by my inbox I notice a lot of people are claiming they bought version 1, I actually did, and a screen shot of my receipt is below – isn’t gmail wonderfull!

The price is again a no-brainer $10, so please treat this like a magazine purchase.

By that I mean print out the report and read it when you have some down time, it will be informative, and if you act upon the advice you will make money. If you read it, and go wow that looks super simple I already knew that, but don’t actually put act upon it then you might just have wasted $10, but I’m sure you can afford it…

Here’s what I learnt from Version 1.

Ewen talked about adding offers on thank-you pages, and that one tactic is now responsable for most of my affiliate income. Applying this further and getting squeezepagesecretsrevealed.com into Jeff’ Dedrick’s Instant Bonus Page site means I now have affiliates promoting my site on their download pages. So you see acting upon Ewen’s advice in a $10 report has been quite a good return on my investment.

Enjoy reading Secret Affiliate Weapon, and here’s the receipt to show that I did buy version 1 back in 2005.

How to Triple Your Sales in 10 Minutes?
Posted by Andrew in Reviews on 06 19th, 2009| icon3No Comments »

I’ve attended a couple seminars in my day. At one of these
seminars, a speaker on stage held a small cup. Then, he
poured a ton of pennies over the cup. Most of the pennies
ended up scattered everywhere on the floor. Only a small
handful of pennies ended up in the cup.

He poured the pennies again, but this time, he put a funnel
over the cup. Many of the pennies still missed, but he
filled that cup with pennies.

The analogy is: if you capture as many leads as possible,
you’ll make more sales and more money.

When people come to your web site – whether it’s a sales
letter or content site – you want to convert them to
something. If it’s a sales letter, you want to convert
them into a buyer by paying you. If it’s a content site,
you want them to register or add their own content to keep
your site fresh… maybe click on an ad.

By adding a lead capture system to your site, you’re
placing that “funnel” over your cup and getting more
buyers.

That visitor might not yet be in the buying mood when you
present your offer. Maybe he has lots of browser tabs open
and he’s “researching” who he should buy from. Maybe he
only has a limited amount of time and closes his browser
before he’s done reading your sales letter.

Whatever the reason is, you can easily miss a sale. But by
collecting a name and e-mail address on your site, you can
get people on a list and follow up with them day after day.

There are many autoresponder services that will handle this
for you. In addition, you can write follow-up e-mails that
will automatically send them MORE e-mail after a certain
amount of time.

You can send a welcome e-mail when they first sign up…
then maybe another message tomorrow, and another the next
day.

If there are some extra benefits they might have missed out
when they read your page… you can remind them when you
send these follow-ups. Give them one of the benefits in
the message you send out on day three, and another benefit
on day five…

You could try hard selling, and hit them with a sales pitch
in every e-mail, or you could try a low-pressure
high-content follow-up series… and offer an ethical bribe
in exchange for opting in.

They want that free report, or free software, so they give
you their first name and e-mail address. You send the free
report via e-mail and then you can start sending them more
content, or more sales pitches, over time… so even if
they didn’t buy RIGHT NOW, they’ll buy eventually.

Is this legal? Of course… most autoresponder services
will save the first name, e-mail address, IP address, URL,
time and date of every subscriber… so you are protected.
You have proof that someone asked for this information.

You ALSO have a one-click unsubscribe function at the
bottom of every e-mail, so if someone wants to stop getting
messages from you, they click on ONE link and are gone
forever.

An awesome service that handles all of this is Aweber, here
is their link: http://www.aweber.com

They handle everything for you… the opt-ins,
unsubscriptions… you just sign up, create a list, and
they give you some cut-and-paste code that you can paste on
your site… and instantly add a form.

Then you write the follow-ups you want to send, and when
people signup, they automatically get these messages.

You can place this signup form on a pop-up, like one you
create using http://www.andrewstark.com/recommends/ActionPop-Up … so you
can place this on ANY kind of site – an article site, made
for AdSense site, blog, sales letter… anywhere! (We’ll
discuss this in more detail later.)

That’s the long and short of how to triple your sales in
just 600 seconds. Get an autoresponder if you don’t
already have one, and place the signup form on your site,
to get people to signup to an autoresponder series, which
will funnel them back to your order button even if they
didn’t buy right away.

We’ll talk again soon…

Do you ever have moments when you feel like
you’ve been sleepwalking? You’re an expert in
something and then, whoa, you learn a new
concept that hits you like a karate chop.

You snap to attention and say to yourself, “Why
didn’t I ever think of that?” or “Geez, why
didn’t someone tell me about this a few years
ago?!”

This is exactly how I felt when I found out
about Giveaway Riches.

We all know the mantra in marketing:

THE MONEY IS IN THE LIST.

Let’s say you have a great new product but
you’re not making any sales. Worse, you
don’t have a list to promote that product to.
You see, if you had a list of folks who already
knew who you were, they’d be more likely to
want to buy your latest product because they
already like and trust you.

Heck, if you had a list, you could even tell them
about other great products you’ve discovered
that could really help them grow their
businesses.

The key is getting a big list of your own.

So you set up a squeeze page or even simple
opt-in box to start building a list. You try
driving more traffic to site with PPC, article
writing, and lots of other online marketing
methods.

If you’re doing at least that much, good for
you.

The problem is it takes time to build a list. In
cases, it can take months or even years to build
a big list in a niche. And that’s why most
marketers give up trying.

Thank goodness Jason James found another way.
You see, Jason is a self-made internet
millionaire and he didn’t get that way by
sitting around hoping to have a big mailing list
someday.

He went out and discovered what the top 1% of all
internet marketers was doing to build their own
massive mailing lists.

He took what he learned and tested. What worked,
he kept doing and the rest he tossed out. More
importantly, Jason took notes every step of the
way.

And now he’s taken his notes and turned them
into a powerful new manual called Giveaway
Riches.

You see, Jason discovered that the top marketers
were using a marketing technique called giveaway
events to build a list and make money at the same
time.

Sounds simple, right?

Well, you’d be both right and wrong.

Set up and do your giveaway event correctly and
you could wind up with results like Jason.

A recent giveaway event yielded a new subscriber
list of 50,000 people and over $100K in sales.

Of course, if you make a mistake with your
giveaway, you could wind up with no list, no
sales, and a professional reputation worse than a
disgraced politician resigning from office.

Fortunately, Jason has created a manual that lays
everything out for you, step-by-step.

http://www.GiveawayRiches.com/

I’ve reviewed Giveaway Riches and it’s
absolutely brilliant. It’s a marketing
technique that works so well that it should kept
under lock and key.

Best of all, Jason explains everything in plain
English so you can get started right away. There
are no complicated graphs or technical lingo. You
get exactly the information you need.

And if you ever need help, there is a support
desk ready to answer all your questions.

So what are you waiting for?

http://www.GiveawayRiches.com/

Andrew

P. S. You can use the system for 56 days and
receive full money back if not satisfied. And
speaking of money, I don’t know what Jason was
thinking, but he’s practically giving this
manual away for a super low fee. So grab it
now before he comes to his senses.

If you have used WordPress for longer than a few days you know how handy it is to have plugins that backup your database, generate Google sitemaps for more traffic, and optimize your HTML for search engine rankings…

What about those plugins that put your blog on autopilot, so you don’t have to update it anymore?

Or ones that get you way more comments, so you can generate buzz about your blog posts without any effort on your part.

What about the plugins that YOU want to make?  Ones that don’t exist yet?

WordPress developer Robert Plank has made so many WordPress plugins in the past couple of weeks that he coded “PHP templates” for them.  If you want to make a sidebar widget… open a file and fill a couple things in.

If you want to make a plugin that does database stuff… for example, a plugin that ethically bribes my users by giving them a present if they leave 5 comments, I open that template.

If you want to make a plugin that responds to new blog posts… like automatically copying each post I make onto Twitter for social marketing, I open that template.

I’ve got 7 of those kinds of templates.  You can handle posts, custom fields that apply to the whole WordPress blog, custom fields that only apply to specific posts, embed video and other “repetitious” code…  just fill stuff in with PHP code.

Quick question for you.

Let’s say I just gave you a plugin that allowed you to drip feed your articles into your blog… upload a zip file containing a bunch of text files, each representing an article… and you could specify you want those articles to get scheduled 1 week apart, 4 days apart, 72 hours apart, and so on.  You could also tell WordPress what time of day you wanted to post the articles.

Would that be worth $47 to you, to save hours and hours of work?  Because that’s what a couple of people are selling those plugins for.

If you went to anyone else, that would cost you $47 just for that one plugin… but with me… that’s not even 1/16th of what you get!

You read right.  If you have NO interest in learning WordPress plugins, I’ll give you 9 plugins that do everything from regularly import multiple full RSS feeds content as blog posts… so you don’t have to update your blog anymore.

Automate the call-to-actions asking people to leave comments.  Show the number of posts, comments, and video available on your blog.  Publish posts from your drafts if a ton of people comment (the ten comment rule!)  Should I keep going?

The “WordPress Crusher” package contains those 9 plugins, plus 7 fill-in-the blank templates… 86 pages of details PDF documentation, 31 minutes of quick start “how to install all the plugins” videos… and 4.7 hours of full WordPress training so you can make any changes you want.

If any of this sounds good to you, make sure to take a look at this URL:

I’m sure you’ve seen loads of emails this week regarding Jeff Dedrick’s new InstantBonusPage site.

Well having taken 5 minutes this afternoon I was able to add 6 bonus to an existing download page, and I’m pretty sure that over the next few months the amount of extra commission will double.

If I’d tried to do this manually I would have to log-in to each of the 6 sites, then spend ages formatting the boxes and graphics, and generally swearing. Jeff’s software was just a couple of clicks to select the style of the box, select the 6 sites, and then a simple 1 line of code to copy & paste.

Even cooler is that all of the affiliate links are cloacked and tracked, so I will be able to see which bonuses are popular, and change them for other sites without having to re-edit my download page.

If you’re giving away free internet marketing reports then this site is simply a must join.

Lastly remember that Jeff (and all the sites inside InstantBonusPage) is totally free to join, but you will see lots of “One Time Offers” – this is the way that these butterfly sites make their money…

Once you create your “bonus” post a comment with the link, as I want to see what reports you’re all using to build your lists.
