So last night someone got chatting to me on facebook and we started to discuss marketing.
This person had committed to a mentoring programme and was paying $20 a week for the privillage. Now they were prepared to fork out for this mentoring but still using free hosting and hadn’t invested in an autoresponder.
To me this is just plain crazy and is the reason why so many people fail in the world of internet marketing.
The first module was a 17 part lesson on wordpress yet when I asked to see her blog it wasn’t online yet. I mean it’s a 1 minute job via your cpanel using fantastico (google it if you want more info).
For $80 per month you can get so much more information that could potentially change your life.
For example digital marketing lab is a similar price per month and it will give you cutting edge information from genuine information marketers who raking it in by selling real products to real people rather than selling hope to the desperate who want to believe that the internet has a secret that turns it into a ATM machine.
Alternative if you can’t justify the monthly commitment just yet then start thinking about you will be able to generate a steady monthly income that will allow you to invest in networking opportunities like digital marketing lab.
Start thinking about which niche you want to target and how you’re going to monetize it.
A good way to start is blogging, create 5 – 10 articles on a niche that you have a genuine passion about. Re-use the content and turn them into a free pdf report, an ecover from fiverr and you immediately have a great lead magnet that you can use for list building.
Create even more articles, record yourself doing something technical within the niche, interview an expert, and suddenly you have the basis of your own product that you can sell.
If I was to ask you today how I could join your list / buy something from you today could you give me a url?
Far too many people who claim to be affiliate marketers can’t answer this question. I know that it took me several years to overcome the fear of creating my own site / product, but once I did it the step increase in affiliate income was massive. So please think about overcoming your fears and start being a content producer rather than a content consumer.
I found that the teaching style of Lee McIntyre really helped me realise that I needed to create products and build a list of buyers. To celebrate his 4 year online anniversary online he’s doing a firesale where you can grab his products for one low price this week only.

I really hope that this message sinks in and helps you realise that magic bullets don’t exist, and that like everything else in life if you invest time and passion into the internet you can get a massive return.
Look forward to hearing your thoughts
Andrew
