Review of 2008

So with Christmas over it’s almost the end of 2008.

I hope that you had a great time over Christmas, we just relaxed at home, stuffed ourselves with Turkey, and watched the kid have fun. I got a great present of a flip video, so hopefully you’ll find the quality of the video’s better than on my camera phone.

Anyway please take a few minutes to see the 3 most important changes in internet marketing during 2008 were, and also something that will be big in 2009…

  1. Happy Boxing Day+2 ! I understood and agree with your first two observations about 2008 internet marketing. Your 3rd wasn’t too clear and I would welcome reading a text version of it.

Regarding your observation #2 and what I call “forced continuity” programs … I hate them with a passion. The vendors are too aggressive charging you, especially over a weekend non-business day when they think no one’s home minding the store. Their typical “seven day free trial” is really too short.

With your added influence, I’ll have to start looking at Twitter, but I’m getting exhausted jumping from one marketing outlet of the moment to the next … maybe it’s a sign of the times that things change that quickly.

    Hi Wolf

The third thing was that a lot of the top marketers are no longer a single person working from home.

The likes of Mike Filsaime, and Russell Brunson, etc have large offices where they employ dozens of people to do all the dull tedious things that are required if you want to run a million dollar business.

So the moral is that you shouldn’t be prepared to invest, and that you’re going to have to learn to outsource.

Hi, perceptive observations, but we do not have to follow fashions. As a small operator I find video presentations very annoying.(yours was not to bad as small and to the point). With text I can read the start to see if I am interested and then go to the end to see if I can afford product, with video I can waste up to 20 minutes watching something I can not afford however good it might be. Also a person might be put off by personality or accent of the man making the video.
